Question 1

How does Brev's pricing work?

Accepted Answer

Brev uses usage-based pricing instead of per-seat licensing — you pay for the AI work the agents do, not for how many people are in the workspace. Every team member gets full access at no per-user cost; you only consume credits when agents fetch data, draft check-ins, run analyses, or coach OKR owners. This aligns Brev's pricing with the value the product delivers (agent work) instead of the legacy SaaS model (counting heads).

Question 2

Why does Brev charge by usage instead of per seat?

Accepted Answer

Per-seat pricing was built for an era when value scaled with users; AI-native software inverts that — value scales with how much work the agents do. Charging per seat would penalize the most useful behavior (giving access to your whole team) and ignore the actual cost driver (agent compute). Most AI-native companies in 2026 — including Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, and Intercom's Fin — have shifted to usage- or credit-based pricing for the same reason. Brev follows the same logic.

Question 3

What counts as a credit?

Accepted Answer

Credits are consumed when Brev's AI agents do work on your behalf — fetching data from connected tools, drafting OKR check-ins, generating coaching responses, running analyses across goals, or preparing meeting materials. Static actions like viewing your dashboard, editing a goal manually, or inviting a teammate don't consume credits. Credits scale with how much you use the AI, not how many people you add.

Question 4

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every new account starts with $100 in free credits and no credit card required. That's enough for most teams to run their first cycle of agent-prepped check-ins across a small leadership team and decide whether the product is worth paying for.

Question 5

How does Brev's spend control work?

Accepted Answer

Brev gives every organization full visibility and control over AI credit consumption. You can set monthly credit caps, configure alerts at any usage threshold, and track spending in real time — broken down by goal, agent, or team. Enterprise plans support organization-wide budgets and per-team limits. Because Brev's agents only act on defined workflows, usage stays predictable by design: you set the cadence, Brev executes within it.

Question 6

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Start with $100 in free credits at brev.io — no card required. Most teams have agents updating their goals within the first week. For organizations with 100+ users or specific security requirements, contact the Brev team via the Contact Us flow to scope an Enterprise plan.
